Prendete un uomo benestante e sua moglie legati dalla passione per l’arte contemporanea e la vita sociale, e metteteli a Favara, la loro piccola città natale vicino alla città tempio greco di Agrigento in Sicilia, si ottiene così uno dei luoghi che rende il mondo diverso. Una visione diventata realtà nel quartiere decadente fatiscente noto come il “sette Cortili” (sette cortili), costruito sul vecchio tracciato di una Kasba araba nel centro di Favara. Essa diviene un luogo meraviglioso e innovativo che attira appassionati d’arte contemporanea e numerosi turisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Camminando lungo i sette cortili, rannicchiato con archittettura bianca e piccole costruzioni allegramente decorati, ci si sente come catapultati da una dimensione all’altra, da un negozio vintage di un piccolo orto biologico tra gli edifici, ad una mostra di video arte ad un innovativo ambiente di design appena dietro l’ angolo. Tu dovresti essere solo abbastanza curioso di scoprire tutte le sorprese nascoste nelle varie show room aperte per le strade strette dove un tempo le donne si riunivano per parlare di ogni impresa privata e pettegolezzi di altri (una sorta di antico social network ). Vale assolutamente la pena è di dedicare una quantità di tempo ragionevole per visitare uno dei servizi igienici, in particolare quella in cui il discorso di Stanford di Steve Jobs è gettato sulla parete di fronte al wc, per il bene della vostra 10m crescita motivazionale. A vision becomes reality in the crumbling decadent neighborhood known as the “sette cortili” (seven courtyards), built up on the old layout of an arabic Kasba in the center of Favara. Walking along the seven courtyards, huddled with white painted and cheerfully decorated small buildings, one feels as pulled from one dimension to the other, from a vintage shop to a tiny biological garden amid the buildings, from a video art exhibition to a innovative design room just behind the corner.You should be only curious enough to discover all the surprises hidden in the several show rooms open on the narrow streets where once women used to chat about each other private businesses and gossip on other’s affairs (a sort of antique social network). Absolutely worth is to dedicate a reasonable amount of time to visit one of the toilets, especially the one where the Stanford University speech of Steve Jobs is thrown on the wall just in front of the w.c., for the benefit of your 10m motivational growth.
